PM Salam says Lebanon’s stability unsustainable without a president

Prime Minister Tammam Salam stated on Tuesday that the Lebanese cabinet managed to secure a minimum level of stability in the country; however, noted that a stable and secure situation may not be maintained in Lebanon in the absence of a president.

At the opening of the Arab Economic Forum, PM Salam emphasized that the current government was successful in preventing strife among citizens, hailing the efforts exerted in a bid to proceed with dialogue sessions among various Lebanese factions.

On another note, Salam noted that Lebanon’s economy has suffered throughout the past decade due to the country's prevalent instability.
