Gemayel says will not run for a new term as head of the Kataeb party

Head of the Kataeb Party Amine Gemayel stated on Monday that he informed members of the politburo that he will not run for a new term as head of the party.

Following the party’s periodic meeting, Gemayel emphasized that his decision is for the benefit of the party, stressing that partisans will be practicing a unique democratic experience that serves the party and the nation.

On another note, Gemayel stated that the Kataeb Party agreed with the Change and Reform Bloc on the necessity of maintaining communication between Lebanese parties.
