MP Alain Aoun underscores need to respect Christian figures

Change and Reform bloc MP Alain Aoun stressed on Monday the need to honor Lebanon’s Christian figures and their right to elect high-raking officials.

“Lebanon's Christian community is being repeatedly told that it has no right to appoint heads of states and army chiefs,” MP Aoun said in a phone call with LBCI’s Nharkom Said TV Show.

“So long as Christian figures are present in the country, their presence must be respected,” he added.
