Beirut Fire Department calls on citizens not to set waste containers on fire

Beirut Fire Department regiment urged the citizens on Thursday to abstain from intentionally setting waste containers on fire in a bid to get rid of the piles of waste, due to the damages that such acts may entail.

The department declared that at least 140 acts of arson were put out across the streets of Beirut over the past few days.

The fire department called on citizens to use the hotline (175), which will be available around the clock, to report further incidents.
