LF leader Geagea calls on PM Salam not to resign
Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea urged on Sunday Prime Minister Tammam Salam not to resign, adding that he is responsible for maintaining legitimacy in the country until the election of a new president.

He also called on PM Salam to hold an immediate cabinet session, stressing that the government must seek to collect the waste from the streets and to find a solution for the garbage crisis.

Geagea voiced solidarity with the protesters, saying that the crisis has reached “an unacceptable level.”

“Those in Martyrs Square must remain there until lawmakers head to parliament and elect a new president,” he added.
