Hale from Serail: Lebanese and US constitutions support right to peaceful protest

Prime Minister Tammam Salam met on Monday with US Ambassador to Lebanon David Hale at the Grand Serail, with discussions featuring high on the latest events that took place on the streets of the Lebanese capital in last few days.

In this regard, Hale said that the Lebanese and American constitutions support the right for peaceful demonstrations, expressing his agreement with Salam’s remarks concerning the need for accountability in case of violation of peaceful movement.
