Foreign Affairs Minister Gebran Bassil announced Friday that “the restoration of the Lebanese nationality forms an important role in combatting terrorism,” reiterating that all the Lebanese people have the right to restore their citizenship.
During a press conference held in the Foreign Affairs Ministry, Minister Bassil pointed out that a consensus was reached over the citizenship law; however it will be subject to some modifications.
This as he condemned the twin blasts that hit Beirut’s Bourj al-Barajneh yesterday, saying that once coexistence is enhanced, Lebanon will be able to combat terrorism.
