FM Bassil receives invitation to attend international meeting on Syria

Foreign Affairs Minister Gebran Bassil received on Wednesday an invitation from the US acting ambassador to Lebanon Richard Jones to attend an international meeting on Syria that will be held in New York on Friday.

Countries involved in the Syrian peace process are set to meet in New York on December 18 but the talks may hinge on efforts to unite Syrian opposition groups in the coming days.
