Former MP Hassan Yaacoub arrested over Hannibal Gadhafi’s abduction

Former MP Hassan Yaacoub was arrested on Thursday during his questioning over the kidnapping of the son of former Libyan leader Moammer Gadhafi.

Yaacoub's father was accompanying Imam Musa Sadr and another man when they disappeared in Libya in 1978.

Yaacoub's family issued earlier a statement saying that he had visited an office of the Internal Security Forces' Information Branch for questioning at 12:00 pm, and had not been heard from since.
