LAF tightens security on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr

Army units began on Tuesday executing extraordinary security measures in key areas around Lebanon on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr.
The Lebanese Armed Forces are tightening security around places of worship, on highways and in shopping malls. These measures aim at reassuring the Lebanese and preserving their safety and security during the celebration that marks the end of the Ramadan fast.
A large numbers of soldiers were dispatched, patrols were organized and checkpoints were set in place as part of the security measures.
