Ferzli: We became a non-existent confession
Former deputy Speaker Elie Ferzli said that amid the current sectarian divides and the nascent religious entities, the Orthodox community who has long worked as a church, should be aware the danger that exclusion from the sectarian-based equation may bring.

“The Orthodox community’s deterioration is dangerous for it has become like a non-existent community“, Ferzli said during his visit to His Beatitude Ignatius IV(Hazim), Greek Orthodox Patriarch of Antioch and all the East at the patriarchal residence at the Monastery of Our Lady of Balamand.

Patriarch Hazim said that the Orthodox confession cannot be enriched without the help of the Orthodox people themselves, adding “we should not be afraid of claiming the Orthodox confession’s rights”.
