Safadi: perhaps this plight would open a door for dialogue among Lebanese to protect Lebanon
Finance Minister Mohammad Safadi congratulated on Saturday the Lebanese pilgrims and their relatives to have safely been freed, and hoped that they would return to their country as soon as possible. He also congratulated all the Lebanese people for their united position, which was interpreted in the efforts exerted by all the Lebanese political authorities, with the help of neighboring countries.

Safadi was not surprised by the solidarity of the Lebanese people during this plight, noting that political conflicts do not affect the essence of the relationship between the citizens.

The minister welcomed the call of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques; the King Abdullah bin Abdul –Aziz for the Lebanese to reopen the dialogue, pointing that Saudi Arabia has always been keen on Lebanon’s safety and its people’s unity.
