Future bloc: Basic premise of any dialogue is to resolve the issue of illegal arms

The Future bloc condemned the abduction and killing of Lebanese pilgrims in Syria and Iraq on Tuesday, calling for the consolidation of the rapprochement that appeared in Lebanon after the abduction.

MP Assem Araji who read the Future bloc’s statement following its weekly meeting at the Center House, said that the basic premise of any dialogue is to resolve the issue of illegal arms that should be in the hands of the state. He said that parties that disrupted the dialogue in the past are the same parties that turned against the Doha agreement.

The bloc reiterated that the killing of Sheikh Ahmad Abdel Wahed and his companion must be referred to the Judicial Council.

On Syria, the bloc condemned the Houla massacre, saying it reminded it of the massacres committed by Israel against the Palestinian and Arab peoples. The bloc urged the international and Arab communities to put an end to the carnage in Syria.
