Nasri Khoury: Reports that two hostages have been released "inaccurate"

Head of Arab Democratic Party, Refaat Eid, confirmed on Saturday that the two kidnapped Lebanese men, Mohammad Yassin al-Merehbi and Mahdi Hamdan, will arrive in Lebanon within few hours thanks to party-led mediation.    

During a press conference, Eid said that the state has knowledge of the identity of security violators in Tripoli, placing the security responsibility in the north on Lebanon’s 3 top officials.    

Eid pointed out that “the Future Movement has handed over Tripoli’s military command to the head of the Free Syrian Army, Riad al-Asaad”, accusing the information division of using night-vision sniper rifles in Tripoli.

Conflicting reports emerged on the release of two hostages.

In a statement to LBCI,  Eid said that the release of the hostages will be carried out through the Lebanese-Syrian Higher Council.

While the NNA reported that the hostages will be handed over to Nasri Khoury in Damascus, who will return them to Lebanon;  Khoury confirmed to LBCI "reports that two hostages have been released are "inaccurate".
