Sheikh Qabalan calls for prompt action to save Bahrainis
Deputy Head of the Higher Islamic Shiite Council Sheikh Abdul Amir Qabalan urged the Arabs and the Muslims to take prompt action that will save the Bahrainis from the neglect, intimidation and massacres that are ravaging the country.

Qabalan called on the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) to cater to the needs of the people and settle their problems without resorting to violence.    Sheikh Qabalan underscored the need to convene an emergency meeting for the GCC countries in Bahrain to find a fair exit to the current crisis.

“It is unacceptable to neglect the situation in the island of Bahrain and to overlook the persecution endured by the people”. Qabalan said.

Speaking to Bahraini leaders, Sheikh Qabalan said: “Look at your people with eyes wide open, be fair to them and do not favor a category over another one. We cannot allow ourselves to get far from the truth and reality. The Bahrainis have rights to enjoy and duties to uphold so have mercy on your people so that God will have mercy on you”.
