The release of Wadi Khaled detainees

The LAF confirmed on Sunday the hand over and release of Lebanese citizens Mohammad Yassin Al-Merhebi and Mahdi Hamdan who had been arrested on 30/5/2012 by Syrian forces in the border town of al-Aboudiyyeh. The international road between Lebanon and Syria remains blocked as residents gather to receive the two men.

The two men were handed over to the LAF at Masnaa point by the office of coordination between the Lebanese and Syrian Army. They were later released following the completion of legal procedures.

Tension later enveloped Wadi Khaled after shots were fired form the Syrian side towards the town of Al-Bokayah .

Facing the same town, Syrian forces multiplied their numbers in the last 24 hours and dug trenches.
