Following many threats, Dahiyeh almost devoid of Syrian workers
The number of Syrian workers decreased significantly in Beirut’s southern suburbs, especially after they were exposed to harassments concerning the case of the Lebanese kidnapped in Syria.

These workers were exposed to insults, defamation and threats of slaughter and hanging. This has led to the suspension of works in construction sites in the region.

In the surrounding areas, the situation was different; the Syrian workers seemed to be more satisfied in places they said it was safe.

Awaiting any news regarding the Lebanese hostages, Lebanon is no longer a shelter for these workers, who always get affected by the regime’s violence or by the opposition’s crimes.
