Introduction to the evening news 19-06-2012
10 Islamist detainees were set free, however not marking the end of the Islamist detainees’ case. In fact, large numbers of Islamist detainees have been untried and behind bars for over 5 years.
Some of them may be guilty while others may be innocent; the judiciary has the final say. After waiting desperately for trials that were never held, protestors returned to Al Nour Square in Tripoli to tell the concerned parties that the bails sent by PM Najib Mikati from Brazil were not enough to seal the Islamists’ wound.

Meanwhile, it turned out that the wound between refugee camps and LAF did not heal completely. An incident that could be personal shook the entrance of Nahr al-Bared camp on Saturday morning, stirring events that go back to the era when the camp was destroyed; once again, the Palestinian blood flowed and demands to put an end to the exceptional military state imposed on the camp re-surged. Although the last funeral held in Nahr al-Bared took place calmly, the situation in Ain al-Hilweh was different while all Palestinian factions and LAF stressed that they will not be dragged to any security escalation.

These two rather preoccupying cases did not prevent citizens from burning tires and holding sit-ins in protest of the continuous power cuts at a time when the concerned minister is in Brazil.
