Introduction to the evening news 20-06-2012

On the first day, the detainees’ relatives block the airport road, many citizens protest against electricity shortages by burning tires, Palestinians protest against conflicts with the Lebanese army by blocking roads and EDL contract workers hold sit-in by blocking communications between the institution’s floors.

On the second day, the detainees’ relatives withdraw from the street, Palestinians and EDL contract workers ease their protest, and protests against power shortages decrease. Is there a maestro for escalation then calm?

On the Syrian scene, the main development would be Clinton’s meeting with her Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov end of June in St. Petersburg.
