Municipal Elections in Hermel take on familial face

The Hermel town of Al-Shwagheer held municipal elections to elect fifteen new members for the municipal council on Sunday. The atmosphere was described as both calm and civil; as security apparatuses conducted regular patrols.

According to preliminary numbers 51.30 of the 2350 registered voters cast their vote to pick 15 out of 30 nominees.

The elections took on a familial face, this as Hezbollah failed to form a completed list of candidates to represent all the families.
