Sleiman: Syrian infiltration into Lebanon violates principles of coordination

President Michel Sleiman denounced on Monday the infiltration of Syrian forces into Lebanon and the detention of 2 members of the General Security that followed.

Sleiman said the infiltration violates the principles of coordination between both countries as well as international laws and regulations.

Sleiman hoped that necessary investigations will be launched and responsible sides will be determined to avoid the repetition of such acts. Sleiman added that these acts might result in the deterioration of bilateral ties that are grounded on mutual respect of sovereignty and independence.
