Rai praised for leading Christians to ‘key role’ in region

Arab Tawhid party leader Wiam Wahhab said that Maronite Patriarch Beshara Rai’s remarks pave the way for Christians to play key role, not only in Lebanon and Syria, but also in the wider Arab world, during a sporting event in Damascus.

“The conspiracy against Syria failed miserably and the turmoil will end in the coming weeks”, Wahhab said. Wahhab added that the decision to move forward with reforms “is already taken” and progress is being made in that regard.
