Rai meets Bassil and Kanaan to discuss EDL issue

Minister of Energy Gebran Bassil and Change and Reform Bloc MP Ibrahim Kanaan met with Maronite Patriarch Bechara Rai on Thursday to discuss the pending EDL contract workers issue.

The EDL file has reached a boiling point following continuous rallies by the contractors. Parliament has so far failed to resolve the issue creating hype as to whether the workers will receive permanent tenure or not.
