Discussion session for “promoting the rights of domestic workers” held under ILO’s wings
A discussion session under the banner of “promoting the rights of domestic workers” was held on Tuesday, under the auspices of the ILO (International Labor Organization) Regional Office, in order to discuss a tabled standard employment contract.

The Lebanese Labor Ministry's acting director general Abdullah Razzouk accused the media outlets of exaggeration while dealing with the issue of foreign domestic workers and "distorting the image of Lebanon."

In turn, GLC head, Ghassan Ghosn criticized the standard employment contract, saying that it does not take into account principles of justice.

In turn, the legal expert of the labor conditions in the ILO Martin Owles outlined the fundamental principles to promote the rights of domestic workers as provided for by Convention No. 189. which stipulates decent working conditions for domestic workers.
