Kanaan to LBCI: Our meetings do not target anyone in particular
MP Ibrahim Kanaan criticized the allegations which targeted the meeting between the FPM, Kataeb and Lebanese Forces which took place on Tuesday 10 July 2012 to resolve the issue of the EDL contract workers.

Comments which followed implicated that the meeting was of a sectarian nature,to which Kanaan replied:" the issue is not personal and does not target anyone in particular".

“We have the right to meet provided that our meetings pave the way for dialogue and openness to all parliamentary blocs”, he told Nhrakom Said TV show.

Kanaan explained that all parties agreed that the problem lied within the voting process within parliament.

On a separate note, Kanaan confirmed that he has not yet been informed whether the draft budget has reached parliament, adding that he will call for a session once submitted.
