Venezuela ready to help Lebanon extract resources
Venezuela's Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, in charge of the Middle East and Asia Temir Porras Ponceleón met with PM Najib Mikati to discuss the bilateral relations between the two countries.

Ponceleón saw the need to establish stronger economic ties with Lebanon especially in energy and oil, confirming his country’s readiness to help Lebanon extract its offshore resources. Ponceleón told PM Mikati that Venezuela’s stance towards Lebanon and its resistance is unchangeable in the face of Israeli threats.

“Venezuela is concerned about the latest events in the Middle East and the Arab region; we call on these regimes to meet people’s demands for a better future” Ponceleón was quoted as saying following his meeting with PM Mikati.
