Pollution wave invades Bchamoun town

The town of Bchamoun, which is renowned for its beautiful and quiet nature, was not spared Lebanon’s environmental pollution and chaos.

The residents of Bchamoun have long been suffering from the foul smells and dusts arising from a landfill established in a valley that is adjacent to the town’s residential area.

The municipality of Bchamoun confirmed that the issue is beyond its control, adding that “the alleged river in the town is a mere water stream”.
