Berri meets with Mikati, describes Rai’s positions as nationalist

House Speaker Nabih Berri met with PM Najib Mikati Wednesday to discuss the main amendments of the electricity bill that was submitted by the Cabinet to the Parliament.

“The parliamentary committees will continue discussing the electricity bill Thursday”, Berri said adding that an urgent call for a general parliamentary session will follow.

On the latest positions of Maronite Patriarch Beshara Rai, Berri said: “They reflect a nationalist position on the latest developments in Lebanon and the region”.
