Mikati: Steer clear of verbal abuse and sectarian violence

PM Najib Mikati slammed Wednesday the blistering verbal attacks that Lebanese politicians adopt in their speeches, reiterating his call for resorting to common sense and steering clear of verbal abuse and sectarian violence.

The cabinet is now holding a session in the Grand Serail to address 89 items on its agenda, topped by the issue of Lebanon’s exclusive economic zone.

It is reported that the ministers have agreed, during the session, on postponing the transportation plan for the next cabinet session.

The cabinet also pointed out that “subsidizing fuel costs for public drivers requires that the parliament passes a law in this regard.”
