Kabbani to LBC: I do not support frequency of religious figures statements

Chairman of the Committee of Works and Energy MP Mohammad Kabbani said that the whole of ISF’s Information Branch was targeted by the Bekaa ambush earlier today, calling on the concerned authorities to arrest and try the assailants.

Kabbani told “Nharkom Said” TV Show that only national unity protects Lebanon,adding, “internal debates should not be taken to the streets”.

Kabbani said that the Sunni majority in Lebanon is moderate and stands with the Future bloc and Al-Jamaa Islamiya group. “I support the involvement of religious figures in politics but cannot support the frequency of their statements”, he said.
