LAF resumes cannabis destruction

LAF resumes cannabis destruction the destruction of cannabis crops in Al Yamuna on Saturday, firing into the air to disperse the protesters and demonstrators.

Earlier in the day, residents burned tires in the town in protest of the move.

Meanwhile, unidentified gunmen opened fire at a van carrying workers en route to destroy cannabis crops in Hawsh Bardeh. The van was reportedly hit by 15 bullets.

Lebanese national Hussein Nayef was injured in the shooting and was accordingly rushed to Dar Al Amal Hospital for treatment.

It was later reported that Dar Al Wasiaa's residents have blocked the town’s road in support of Al Yamuna's residents who are protesting the destruction of cannabis crops.
