Hariri: Electoral draft law was tailored according to Hezbollah’s interests

Former PM Saad Hariri announced on Tuesday that the electoral draft law approved by the cabinet today is “rejected and will not be ratified”. Hariri considered that the government tailored the draft law according to the interests of Hezbollah and its allies.

Hariri sad that if the Parliament ratifies it, it would give the party that currently controls the government’s decision-making process full control over the Lebanese hand the Lebanese political and national decision.

Hariri held both President Michel Sleiman and PM Najib Mikati responsible for the recent events and their political repercussions. “Mikati is responsible for covering the violations of democracy and the rights of the categories he claims to represent", he said.
