Sleiman: Shift towards democracy in the region facilitates international relations

President Michel Sleiman said Saturday that the shift towards Democracy in the region helps states deal with each other on a basis of parity.

Sleiman highlighted, during a meeting with the Board of Directors of the Antonine University, the key role that higher education plays in keeping pace with scientific, technical and cultural evolution. Sleiman also underlined the importance of openness, which Lebanon is known for and constitutes a pillar of freedom and democracy.
