UNIFIL contingents attacked in Aita al Shaab

Security sources told Al Markaziya news agency that UNIFIL forces in Lebanon will send a letter to the cabinet in protest of an attack on an Indonesian patrol in Aita al Shaab on Friday night.

According to Al Markaziya, Indonesian contingents were buying food supplies from Hassan Sabra’s shop in the area when Mohammad Akil Salloum stole one of the soldier’s cameras and ran away while the rest of the contingents failed to arrest him.

The attack which targeted the United Nations forces is the second attack in 4 days; French contingents were stoned in the same village on Wednesday.
