Mikati: Lebanon, not an open front for proxy wars
Prime Minister Najib Mikati said on Sunday that investigations into the “attempts to blow up the security situation in Lebanon inciting sedition and placing explosives in more than one area” are ongoing. This, according to Mikati, is to uncover circumstances, determining the responsibilities and making appropriate judgments accordingly.

Mikati said that he has asked authorities in charge of conducting the investigations to cite immediate responsibilities in order to determine how the explosives and other ordinances were introduced recently into Lebanon and to strictly intensify border control consequently.

“The self-dissociation policy was applied according to our conviction, so as to not to interfere in the affairs of others” Mikati stressed, adding that Lebanon has been deemed once an arena for settling accounts and proxy wars. However in light recent event, the premiere stressed, that all measures to maintain Lebanon's sovereignty, and independence, are being taken".
