Kaderi raises motion against Communication Minister and others
“Lebanon First” MP Ziad Kaderi held a press conference today at parliament, clarifying in depth the legal motion he requested, and which targets vast members of the government. The motion, according to Kaderi, aims questions at the Ministers of Tele-communications, Justice, Interior, and Defense, in regards to their “refusal to hand over of tele-data information”.

Kaderi’s motion include the below questions:

What are the reasons for refusing to deliver the communications database to the judiciary even when the law grants the Attorney the power to do any investigative procedures it deems necessary to collect useful information regarding a crime?

What are the legal provisions which grant the Minister of Communications the power to withhold the database from security and judicial apparatuses especially when an “armed party” [Hezbollah] receives all other information?

What steps are being taken to prevent such security blunders from taking place?
