Rifi lauds Information Branch efforts foiling 'terrorist plot' in North Lebanon
Internal Security Forces Major General, Ashraf Rifi, on Monday applauded efforts by the Internal Security Forces (ISF) Information Branch, namely those of its chief, Brigadier Wissam Hassan, unveiling 'terrorist designs' in North Lebanon.

A former MP and a two-time Minister, Samaha was arrested by the Internal Security Forces Information Branch Thursday on suspicion of being involved in a plan to carry out terrorist attacks in Lebanon in collaboration with the Syrian regime.

"Officer Hassan is an astute man who has endeavored ever since assuming his position as head of the Information Branch," said Rifi in a recognition letter addressed to Hassan and other Information branch officers and members.

Rifi also listed the many accomplishments of Hassan combating crime, dismantling more than 36 Israel spying networks, as well as foiling plans to bog Lebanon down in unrest.
