Berri: where do we stand between Snipers and Clans?

Speaker of the House, Nabih Berri, stated on Tuesday that the "State remains the sole protector for everyone, despite its inability to meet all its duties.”

"Protect the country from you," the Speaker addressed the Lebanese in what he termed as "a call to the reason in a moment of insanity."          

As lamenting recurrent abductions, sniping, roads closure, and the formation of families and sects' military councils, Berri cast doubt over whoever covers such events.           

"Who wishes for Lebanon all this evil?" he wondered.           

He also wondered whether the country has turned into a ground for all intertwining confessions, sects, categories, and parties, amid the all-out absence of political responsibility in a country that is "too small to be divided."              

“Everyone wants to use Lebanon as their battle field”, he added.         

"Don't we know that the same abductor who is behind the kidnapping of the Lebanese citizens in Syria aims to kidnap Lebanon itself?”, he questioned.
