Kataeb Partisans burn pictures of Syrian Major General Ali Mamlouk

Kataeb partisans held a demonstration on Wednesday before Lebanon’s Foreign Ministry in Achrafieh in light of recent events overtaking the country.

The partisans called for the annulment of the Higher Lebanese-Syrian council, the Treaty of Brotherhood between Syria and Lebanon and the summoning of the Syrian Ambassador to Lebanon.

Consequently, a delegation representing the partisans headed to meet Minister Adnan Mansour to deliver a memorandum outlining all their demands.

The protestors chanted anti-Syrian slogans, denouncing Syrian Ambassador Ali Abdul Karim Awwad’s “actions” in Lebanon. They also burnt pictures of Syrian Major General Ali Mamlouk.

The protestors granted the state one week to meet their demands or otherwise face a larger demonstration.
