Introduction to the evening news 25-08-2012

After 95 days of detention, released Lebanese hostage, Hussein Omar arrived to Beirut International Airport.     

One of the 11 detainees is released but10 remain hostages until the Mokdad Clan and Mokhtar Thaqafi’s group release the 2 Turkish hostages they are detaining.         

Aazaz militants released the first hostage as a first step of the Turkish settlement/deal which a Turkish intelligence official “Doctor Mohammad” negotiated. What is the next step then?

After the Lebanese detainee Hussein Omar was released, the Mokdad Clan released 6 Syrian detainees as 4 others and one Turkish citizen remained hostages, while Mokhtar Thaqafi’s group announced the release of 4 Syrian hostages.          

One chapter ended happily, but what about the other Chapters? What role does Turkey play in this story? Does Qatar have a role as well, and why is it kept in the dark? What about the other 10 detainees and is their release related to the release of Turkish detainees in Lebanon?        

What Hussein Omar said today proved once again the Lebanese media's efficiency when this same media played a major role in his release. Omar's statement contradicted all what it said about the Lebanese media’s bad influence.
