Hussein Omar: Happiness will only be complete with the return of remaining abductees

Hussein Omar, one of eleven Lebanese detainees to be released from the grip of his abductors in Syria returns to Lebanon. On his first day upon arriving, he received phone calls from top Lebanese officials commending his safe return.

LBCI learned that Omar will be also holding meetings with those same officials at a later time.

Omar met with the families of the 10 Lebanese who remain sieged till now in Syria.

“We hope that former PM Saad Hariri continues his efforts in releasing the remaining detainees, as this will help unify Lebanon” Omar said during a brief interview with the channel.

In a statement to LBCI, Omar said "freedom is precious but will only be complete with the return of the remaining abductees".

In this context, Loyalty to the Resistance bloc MP Ali Ammar confirmed that “the issue of hostages concerns the Lebanese state which should exert assiduous efforts to release the remaining abductees”.
