Kortbawi to LBCI: The decree concerning Lebanon's missing people is almost ready
Justice Minister Shakib Kortbawi stated on Wednesday that the ministry is finalizing the draft decree of the Independent National Commission mandated to investigate in the case of Lebanon's missing people. The draft considered the State Shura Council's observations  and will be referred to the cabinet before the end of the week.

During a phone call with Nharkom Said TV Show on LBCI,  Kortbawi said that the Independent National Commission is a completely independent non-governmental institution. "I'm hoping that the draft will be signed within the few upcoming days so I could sign it and refer it to the cabinet", he added.

Commenting on the release of Yaacoub Chamoun who was imprisoned in Syria, Kortbawi told LBCI that the Lebanese Judicial Committee is in charge of this issue and will take Chamoun's statements into consideration to know if there were more detainees in the Syrian prisons.
