Maronite Patriarch, Minister Khalil discuss pending issues

Maronite Patriarch Mar Beshara Boutros Rahi met on Tuesday the Minister of Public Health, Ali Hassan Khalil, over an array of national affairs and most recent developments in the country.

Speaking to reporters following the meeting, Khalil voiced support for the Patriarch's stance on the electoral law.

"We listened to his viewpoint on the electoral law and we are confident that his opinion is always in favor of Lebanon's best interest and the development of our political life," he said.

The Patriarch is scheduled to chair the periodic meeting for the Maronite Bishops Council in Diman on Wednesday.
