Sleiman, US official mull banking-related ties
President of the Republic, Michel Sleiman, met Tuesday at the Baabda presidential palace with the US Treasury Deputy Secretary, Neal Wolin, over the economic cooperation, especially on the banking level.         

The pair also skimmed through the measures the Lebanese banks are adopting in compliance with the international regulations and standards in order to preserve the Lebanese currency.            

Moreover, the President met with MP Qassem Abdul Aziz, with talks featuring high on most recent political developments in Lebanon and the current situation prevailing in the North region.         

Sleiman later received Acting Beirut and North Governor, Nassif Qaloush, and Head of the Audit Court, Judge Aouni Ramadan.
