Safadi meets with IMF chief in Washington

Finance Minister Mohammad Safadi met with the head of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Christine Lagarde in Washington to discuss the financial situation in Europe and the Arab world.

Lagarde seized this opportunity to support Lebanon in all fields relating to the IMF’s expertise, praising Lebanon’s great international reputation for always honoring its commitments.

Safadi hailed the IMF’s technical assistance offered to Lebanon, vowing to pass on the knowledge gained to Arab countries especially those witnessing a political and economic shift.
