A new draft law to amend the non-smoking regulation

Restaurant owners and smokers in Lebanon are hoping that the non-smoking law would be amended after only 20 days of its enforcement.

In this context, MP Nadim Gemayel referred a draft law to amend the non-smoking regulation.

The MP who supports the banning of smoking in closed public places, suggested in the draft law that specific places to smoke argeelehs and cigars should be excluded from the non-smoking law's provisions.

For her part, Rania Baroud, vice president of the "Free Life Without Smoking Association", said that the concerned associations completely refuse the amendment of the law.
