The Directorate General of Army Command mentioned that following the kidnapping of Muhammad Bassel el-Mayss, the intelligence directorate launched a series of investigations that helped in indentifying the identities of the kidnappers. Upon these investigations, kidnappers left el-Mayss in a cave in Dahr el-Baydar and fled to an unknown destination.
Investigations were launched to determine the whereabouts of those involved in the incident to refer them to the relevant court. In another incident, citizen Ali Ahmad Mansour was released on $600,000 ransom. For the full report, please click on the video above
