Berri: Hezbollah does not preside over the Security Council

Speaker Nabih Berri said Saturday that “ Only Lebanon can preside over the UN Security Council, not Hezbollah, President Michel Sleiman or PM Najib Mikati”, adding that, "Lebanon’s childhood was slayed in Qana by Israeli PM Binyamin Netanyahu’s army”.

Berri described Netanyahu’s speech at the UN as spiteful, adding that “We reassure Netanyahu and his allies that the resistant Lebanon who fought the Israeli army in the south will remain resistant at the UN Security Council, endorse peoples’ rights and fight against oppression".
