Explosion rocks Barja...body found in Jahlieh

An explosion rocked the town of Barja Wednesday off the Chouf coast, when a gas leakage inside a local bakery run by Mustafa Said Braj caused an outburst.

Damage was limited to material losses since the bakery was closed at the time.

Also in Chouf, the body of Citizen Khoder Mohammad Qaddi, born in 1991 was found in the Jahlieh River. Reports state that he drowned while swimming.
In Burj Abi Haidar, thieves broke and entered into the "Palace of Culture" stealing computers and equipment worth U.S. $3,000 and a cash amount of 700,000 LBP.
