Daher, LBCI file lawsuit against Al-Shiraa Web-Magazine
Lawyer Naoum Farah, attorney of Mr. Pierre Daher and LBCI, filed a complaint on Friday September 28th 2012, before the Court of Publications in Beirut against the owner of Al-Shiraa web-magazine, and its publishing company represented by its General Manager and Editor in Chief Mr. Hassan Sabra, as well as the director in charge and the writer of the article published on the magazine's website on 19-09-2012.

The article alluded that "Sheikh Pierre Daher was inside Former Minister Samaha's car while the latter transported explosives from Syria to Lebanon to create sectarian strife."

Sheikh Pierre Daher and LBCI have launched a personal legal claim against the defendants accused of publishing and dispersing false news, as well as libel and slander.

The accusations are punishable by articles 3, 20, and 21 of the publishing law linked to article 385 / sanctions.

The plaintiff requested to impose the most severe of penalties on the defendants and to oblige them to pay the amount of 1,000,000 USD (One Million US Dollar) as an indemnity to each of Sheikh Pierre Daher and LBCI in addition to damage and defect compensation fees.
